Sometimes a structure gets to the point where patching it just isn't worth it. The original pergola on this property had seen better days - posts leaning, wood heavily weathered and darkened throughout, the whole thing looking like it was one good storm away from coming down. It wasn't just an eyesore. It was a liability.

We pulled the old structure down completely and started fresh. No shortcuts, no working around the existing footprint in a way that would compromise the new build. Clean slate.

The new pergola went up with fresh pressure-treated lumber throughout. The posts are plumb, the beams are level, and the whole thing is built to actually hold up over time. That's the difference between doing it right and doing it fast - and we're not interested in the latter. With outdoor structures like this, the framing and post work is where quality either shows up or doesn't.

A pergola like this changes how a backyard actually gets used. It creates a defined space - somewhere to put a table, string some lights, grow climbing plants. It gives the yard a focal point it didn't have before. That's a big return for what most homeowners think of as a straightforward build.

Whether you've got an old structure that needs to come down or you're starting from nothing, this kind of work is exactly what we do. Solid construction, done the right way.
