Industrial equipment sitting exposed on the exterior of a building is a problem a lot of commercial property owners let slide longer than they should. It leaves sensitive components vulnerable to weather, makes servicing a pain, and honestly just looks unfinished. This was the situation we walked into on this one.
We built a full enclosure for an industrial vac system - framed with pressure-treated lumber to handle moisture and long-term outdoor exposure, then wrapped the entire exterior in metal panel siding. The combination gives you a structure that holds up against the elements without rotting out or falling apart over time. Not all enclosures are built that way.
One thing we focused on was making sure this wasn't just a box that protects the equipment - it also had to be practical for whoever needs to access it. We installed a full-size door so that servicing and maintenance can actually happen without crawling around or removing panels every time. That matters when you're dealing with industrial equipment that needs regular attention.
The framing process wasn't a simple build either. The vac system components had to be accounted for throughout the construction, which meant working carefully around existing ductwork, piping, and electrical runs. Everything had to come together cleanly before the metal exterior went on. That's the kind of detail work that separates a solid build from one that causes headaches down the road.
At the end of the day, this is a structure that's going to hold up for years - functional, clean-looking, and low maintenance for the property owner. That's exactly what commercial builds should be.
